Pirate Ship Cake

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! A pirate ship cake made for a little boy turning 3 - The decorations and ship all handmade and edible except the actual masts, sails made of rice paper and the ship of rice crispies. Caramel Mud cake on the inside.The party looked fabulous all decked out in a Pirate theme with amazing detail which included some of Jake's Cakes salted caramel macarons in blue and red colours. The names of 13 kids on the scrolls on the board didn't quite show up on the photos....

Frozen Cake

Army Tank Cake

Last year it was a Dinosaur Volcano cake, this year an Army Tank! A chocolate mud cake tank for Aary who turns 6 - his Mum is the talented Kay from Maya's Magical Tulle so we were at the party too. Happy Birthday Aary!

The Tardis Cake

   My second Tardis cake has the inclusion of K9 - all handmade out of sugar. Again there is a flashing light at the top for effect. This cake is gluten free vanilla butter cake for some lovely regular clients - Happy 70th Robert!!                                                                                                                                             

'JOY' - Alex's Book Launch Cake

I was very honoured to play a very small part in the Book Launch of 'JOY' written and photographed by the lovely and amazing Alex Cearns from Houndstooth Studio , last night. This is her second book and certainly lives up to its name. If you don't know her work, check out the amazing animal photography on Houndstooth Studio Facebook page, she is also involved with many animal charities here in Australia and Overseas. Congratulations Alex! Well deserved xxx

This is the cake made for the 'JOY' Book launch. The picture frame representing her amazing photography and handpiped 'Tree of Life' at the front, not just because I love its symbolism, but I think it perfectly represents all of Alex's passionate animal charity work, both here and overseas. (Cake is French vanilla butter cake with white chocolate ganache) 36 Vegan-friendly cupcakes also made for the launch (forgot to take photos)

Fireman Sam Cake

Fireman Sam Cake made for some super lovely regular clients. This design was based on a picture supplied by the client, original design by Kidacity. Fireman Sam and his mate Tom all handmade from sugar. This was a fun cake to make! Choc mint mud cake on the inside.
