Award Winning Cake and Macarons: Perth Royal Show 2014

I entered a couple of entries into the Perth Royal Show for the first time this year and won 2nd prize for my Carrot and Nut cake and 3rd prize for my macarons. As I had no time for practice I am pretty pleased with those results!

Rustic Wedding Cake with Orange Dahlia

I LOVE rustic weddings, the natural wood, twine and rough icing look...sigh...so I made this orange dahlia about 6 months ago in anticipation of making this rustic display cake for the The Event & Wedding Emporium  (www.facebook.com/TheEventandWeddingEmporium) and its finally done. Flowers and Butterflies: 90th Birthday cake

I was truly honoured to make this cake for a lady turning 90 this week, the mandate was flowers, butterflies and pale blue. On the inside was chocolate buttercake with cookies and cream buttercream. 12 butterfly cupcakes also accompanied this cake.

The Hive Cake

There's a buzz, buzz buzz in the meadows.....The Hive Cake...Lots of hours went into the making of the details of this Hive cake, totally fun. All the decorations are handmade decorations including Busby and the sugar watering can, my favourite is the two cheeky bluebirds in the . French vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling.

Amelie's First Birthday Cake: Bees and Daisies

Little Amelie turns one and she is celebrating with Bees, daisies, coconut cake, chocolate cupcakes and yellow and white macarons (salted caramel and buttered popcorn)
